Ever since Mickey Mouse burst on movie screens in “Steamboat Willie”, there have been some forms of Disney products on the market. Following the release of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”, all manner of merchandise were released. Today, if you can find the “Snow White” board game – in decent condition – it is quite the collectible!

 

In the event you enjoy all things Disney, you’re in luck, these days you can buy just about anything you like. It may sound hard to believe, but there was a time when animation cells were simply tossed away, or the ink washed off of them so that they could be re-used! Nowadays, they call such things animation art, and there are stores on “Main Street U.S.A.”, Downtown Disney, Disney Village, and a host of other places that sell them. You want a cell from “Beauty and the Beast” or “Mulan”, you can get it – for a price. Some of them are quite expensive.

Along the same lines are ceramic figurines. Time was, such things were cheap little statues given away. Today, the real vintage figurines are worth a small fortune. Even some of the old plastic toys are quite valuable. Are you old enough to remember the old “pull-string” dolls? They stopped making them years ago out of fear that a small child might get entangled in the line and choke. The old Mickey and Donald ones of those are also quite valuable.

 

Of course, not everyone is looking at these things as investments, or wants to spend an arm and a leg to get them. There are many fine Disney products that are perfect for just having fun, or that look good. You can get a nice watch for you or your kids, and have it feature just about any Disney character you like. If you have small children, Disney plush toys and stuffed animals are delightful. Then there are the Disney snowglobes and Christmas ornaments, Halloween costumes, and computer games.

 

These days, the Disney Company has learned to maximize its efforts in the merchandise department. If you want, you can deck out your kids, your home, and just about your whole life in Disney products. From dishes to glasses, from diapers to bed sheets, and from ties to umbrellas; there is a Disney product to cover you. Their “Princess” line is specifically aimed at young girls, and makes use of all the most recognizable princesses of the studio’s long history.

 

Now, when looking to buy these items, there are ways to avoid paying top dollar. Namely, avoid buying them at a Disney store! If you are in the Orlando area, go by some of the outlet malls. There are stores there that carry all manner of Disney products, and the prices are much lower. Also, you can check online for outlet websites that do the same. Sometimes a site like eBay will have good deals; although beware of getting into a “bidding war” with someone over a collectible. Still and all, if you shop around, there are a host of companies that carry all kinds of Disney products.
